Tantalum
Tantalum is a chemical element with the symbol Ta and atomic number 73. It is a hard, blue-gray metallic element that is found in trace amounts in minerals. Previously known as tantalium, named after Tantalus, a Greek mythological figure. Tantalum is a very hard, ductile, lustrous, blue-gray transition metal that is highly corrosion-resistant and highly resistant to scratches and oxidation.
Its high durability makes it ideal for making jewellery that will last a long time. Additionally, Tantalum is hypoallergenic, making it perfect for people with sensitive skin. We use tantalum in jewellery to create rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces with a unique and contemporary look.
Tantalum Rings are often Grey and Black in Colour. Black Tantalum is achieved through an organic process of proprietary heating and cooling techniques. Black Tantalum is still pure Tantalum and no chemicals or coatings have been used in achieving the natural “Blackened” look.
