Coloured Stone - Carat Weight

Like diamonds, colored stones are measured in carats. One carat = 100 points (1.00ct) weighing 1/5 of a gram. Generally, the higher the carat weight the higher the value of the stone, although other factors such as color and clarity will also play a role in determining value.

Natural Large gemstones are incredibly rare to find or produce and is why a large stone of any colour will have such a greater value.
